Features
Auditory Precision and Immersion
At the heart of this gaming speaker system lies one of the largest drivers available in its class. The 4-inch full-range organic fiber cone is engineered to handle complex audio signals, ensuring that low-frequency rumbles remain tight while high-frequency details like glass breaking or distant gunfire remain crisp. This design minimizes sound distortion from rear walls and enhances low-frequency performance through a dedicated front port system. The result is a dynamic range that spans from 50Hz to 20,000Hz with a maximum SPL of 100 dB, allowing you to experience the full breadth of your game's soundtrack and sound effects without audio clipping.
The physical design supports flexible placement options with an adjustable stand that allows you to tilt the speakers vertically for the optimal listening position relative to your ears. This versatility ensures that even in a compact desk setup, the sound is directed exactly where it needs to be. The system also features a multifunction button on the base of the right speaker, giving you quick access to critical controls without needing to reach for a keyboard or mouse.
Connectivity is handled with ease through both wired and wireless options. You can connect your PC, phone, tablet, or TV using standard 3.5mm cables that are compatible with most soundcards and motherboards. For a cable-free experience, the built-in Bluetooth v4.2 module allows for quick pairing with smartphones and other devices. A unique capability of this system is the ability to listen to Bluetooth and PC audio simultaneously, mixing all inputs together so you can hear game audio while taking calls or listening to background music.
User Control and Customization
Gamers have full control over their audio environment with a dedicated volume dial for quick adjustments. The multifunction button offers further utility by toggling the LED indicator, muting sound instantly, switching headset connections, and initiating Bluetooth pairing modes. For those who want to fine-tune their sound profile, the SteelSeries Sonar Software Suite on PC provides powerful tools including Spatial Audio and a 10-band Parametric EQ. This software allows you to adjust nearly every aspect of the audio output to match your specific hearing preferences or game genre requirements.
The system is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and mobile devices that support 3.5mm analog output or Bluetooth connectivity. You can extend the audio cables using standard connectors if needed, and the headset connection utilizes a 4-pole 3.5mm jack for full stereo and microphone support. The LED indicator status light provides visual feedback but can be completely turned off via the control button to suit your lighting preferences.
