It also boasts a slightly wider rating for its color gamut (that is, its supported range of colors), at 110% of BT.2020 (aka Rec.2020), the spec for 4K UHD projectors and TVs. As with 4K projectors, it delivers its 3,840-by-2,160-pixel image to the screen courtesy of a 1080p DLP chip and TI's XPR fast-switch pixel shifting. The credit for the color gamut goes to Hisense's own TriChroma triple-laser engine, which uses red, green, and blue lasers for its primary colors, rotating through them sequentially.
